Barge-oriented container terminal
Waalhaven Botlek Terminal is one of three terminals managed by the Waalhaven Group for shortsea and barge containers in Rotterdam, strategically situated between the city and the delta. The other terminal locations are: Eemhaven and Waalhaven.
The terminal, with a capacity of 250,000 TEU full containers per year and 8,000 TEU empty capacity, can handle ships with a draft of approximately 6,5 meter.
Waalhaven Botlek Terminal is a barge and a shallow draft shortsea terminal with all facilities to handle this cargo efficiently and with required service levels.
The terminal is a Customs area ‘Entrepot C'. This enables our clients to tranship their containers with minimal Customs procedures and documentation. Waalhaven Botlek Terminal will take care of most of it by qualified personnel working at Waalhaven Douane Service B.V.
The terminal is equipped with reefer connections and can handle hazardous cargo.
Waalhaven Botlek Terminal is a cost-efficient terminal, able to handle large quantities of containers.
We are embedded in the Intermodal Transport Concept, and offer you services other terminals cannot, or only at higher costs.

Combined with the repair and cleaning facilities on our terminal via UWT, an integrated terminal concept is created in the Port of Rotterdam.
